I find joy in helping children and their families work together to increase daily functional living skills through play. My background in infant and pediatric massage allows me to facilitate more natural movements incorporating full body engagement during sessions to improve participation. I use a play- based approach to motivate children in reaching their goals and full potential. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, playing soccer, going to the beach with my dog, and watching movies.

I am an occupational therapist with a diverse set of skills and deep knowledge in both pediatric and adult occupational therapy, with over 20 years of experience. I spent the first 15 years of my career working with adults in various settings with a focus in neurologic rehabilitation and orthopedics. Seven years and two children later, I transitioned into the world of pediatric occupational therapy. I believe in collaborating with parents to determine how to best support their child’s development. I love to play as much as the children I work with! My family and I are passionate about nature, traveling, and being active. I have been an indoor cycling instructor for over 10 years and truly enjoy being able to facilitate health and wellness for people of all ages.

I have experience working with children with a wide range of diagnoses on improving confidence and skills necessary to navigate various environments and daily routines with greater ease. I enjoy utilizing NDT handling techniques and foundations of yoga during my therapy sessions to facilitate natural movement. I also love working with children on building skills necessary to participate in meal-time both safely and enjoyably. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my son grow and experience the world for the first time. I also like to practice yoga, travel, hike, rock climb and mountain bike.

I enjoy pediatric occupational therapy because we get to work on family driven goals, in a fun and playful manner to assist the development of children. Most of my experience has been in an acute rehabilitation hospital working with children as young as infancy to early adulthood. My favorite part of being an occupational therapist is seeing the excitement a child and their families have when they achieve a new skill. In my free time I love spending time at the beach, paddle boarding, and barbecuing with my family and friends.

I became interested in the world of occupational therapy because I wanted to help others. Being a pediatric occupational therapist has a dream come true. Getting to know clients as a whole and helping them see and achieve their full potential is a gift. It is pleasure to get to know children and their families in order to work together to progress towards their goals and foster their independence. As someone whose brother attended occupational therapy throughout his life, I’ve been able to experience therapy through the lens of both the family and provider. This has given me a true appreciation for the importance of collaboration and trust between families and their therapist. I am dedicated to working together with families and their child to foster independence and participation in daily activities to the best of their ability. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends hiking, baking cookies, and going to concerts.

Occupational Therapy has been a passion of mine first, and a career choice second. From watching my younger sister receive occupational therapy throughout her life, I have personally experienced the many benefits that this field can bring to children and their families and I strive to offer the same level of support that was given to my own family. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, taking our dog to the beach and visiting a local farmers market.
