Parent Ambassador Spotlight | Denise Murray

It takes a village to raise a child and a team to meet their milestones. That’s what Infinity Kids is. Denise discovered the power of having a team on her side when her son, Andrew, joined us for occupational therapy. Goals that seemed out of reach were suddenly achievable with the teamwork. Denise’s story shows how reaching one goal – such as self-feeding – can change your kid’s life for the better.

As part of our parent ambassador spotlight series, we’re shining a light on the parents in our community who make Infinity Kids what it is today. The stories from our parent ambassadors are what continue to motivate us every day – showing the power of specialized therapy to transform the lives of kids.

Read on to hear about Denise’s – and her son Andrew’s – experience with Infinity Kids in her own words.

Why did you choose Infinity Kids?

We choose Infinity Kids because of the therapists – we followed some of them from our original therapy center to here. Andrew attends Infinity Kids for Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. When we moved to Temescal Valley, I would drive Andrew to Lake Forest twice a week – because that’s how much we love this center. We believe our therapists were the key to Andrew’s success and a huge part of his growth. Infinity Kids will always be part of Andrew’s story.

Share a memorable experience from your time with Infinity Kids

He had – and continues to have – Occupational Therapy challenges, but one thing has changed our lives for the better. I’ll never forget the day Amanda showed me the video of Andrew self-feeding, not just with a spoon but finger feeding. It’s a moment I’ll never forget. That video is one of the best moments of our lives – and something we might not have been able to achieve without Infinity Kids. Amanda has been working with Andrew for 10 years and has been with us throughout our journey.

What would you say to your past self or a new Infinity Kids family?

What I tell every new Infinity Kids family is that when you find a good therapist or center, stay with them. Do whatever you have to do to keep going. The success of your child’s therapy – and the milestones they reach – depends on the team they have around them. For us, our team will always be Infinity Kids.

Testimonial Quote

“We chose Infinity Kids because of the therapists. We truly feel that the success of our son reaching his goals was in major part because of his therapists. The success of your child reaching milestones truly depends on a good team. For us, that Team is INFINITY KIDS!

Andrew started and continues to struggle with a lot of Occupational Therapy challenges but one thing that changed our lives was feeding. I still recall and have the video Amanda shared with me showing me that Andrew could self-feed. Not just with a spoon but finger feed. It was one of the best moments of our lives.”
